Hummingbird Farms is a working farm located on U.S. Highway 290 between Johnson City & Fredericksburg. Owners Jack & Debi Williams planted their first lavender field in 2003 after researching various lavender cultivars for optimal essential oil production.
Now Texas' largest lavender farm, Jack & Debi owe their lavender business success to their deep-rooted commitment of preserving Texas' agricultural heritage taught to them by their grandfathers. Alongside hayfields and longhorns, their commitment to creating value added products from sustainable acreage of lavender was realized last year when launching their first line of aromatherapy lavender body care.
During the Blanco Lavender Festival, complimentary lemonade awaits you while you stroll our fields and cut your own fresh bouquet. Jack & Debi are onsite to answer questions you may have about growing lavender, as well as share their lavender adventure with you. Demonstrations of the lavender essential oil distillation process will also be taking place.
Hummingbird Farms is open most weekends during the blooming season, Memorial Day weekend through June. Please call ahead for hours or to set up your own tour.
