Lavender Market
June 14th - 15th, 2008, 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM on Sunday
During the Blanco Lavender Festival June 14th & 15th, an assortment of vendors and artists will gather on the historic grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse in the center of Blanco, selling lavender items and lavender-related goods.
Market hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Educational programs on lavender will be presented upstairs in the courthouse both days.
Many of the lavender farms participating in the 2008 Blanco Lavender Festival will have booths at the market, each featuring their lavender and lavender-related products.

Participating wineries include:
The Blanco Chamber of Commerce will host the Go Texan Wine tent featuring 10 of the best Wineries in Texas. The Chamber will sell wine samples as well as wine by the glass or bottle. They will also feature some of the best beers in Texas, including Real Ale, a Blanco microbrewery. Live entertainment will be on hand both days. An information booth will be located on the courthouse square. Brochures with maps of all the farms will be available.
Summer Lavender Picnic
Enjoy a delightful meal for two for $38. The meal includes: lavender summer sausage and two loaves of ciabatta bread by Sullivan Street Catering; lavender infused feta goat cheese in extra virgin olive oil by CKC Farms; Hill Country peaches from McCall Creek Farms; lavender brownies by Onion Creek Kitchens at Juniper Hills Farm; and Grey Poupon mustard, lavender bandanna napkins, and cutlery.

Uptown Blanco Fine Art Show
Sat & Sun 9 a.m.-6 p.m. with reception on Friday, 5-8 p.m. (Enter at 4th & Main Streets). Uptown Blanco Art Center hosts a fine art show featuring many local and regional artists. The show is open to the public all weekend during regular festival hours. The Friday evening reception offers a wine and beer cash bar. Artwork is for sale.
Uptown Blanco Lavender Croquet Tournament
Sat & Sun, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Uptown blanco Courtyard at 4th & Elm Streets. Uptown Blanco hosts its first nine-wicket croquet tournament in its groomed all-grass courtyard! Vie for various awards. Purchase bistro-style "lavender bag lunches," drinks, and snacks in the Courtyard.
Stories of Blanco
Sat & Sun, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the City of Blanco Meeting Hall. As part of Blanco's year-long celebration of its 150th birthday, descendants will share colorful stories of Blanco's past. Enjoy the displays of memorabilia, photographs and antiques dating back to the late 1800's. The Blanco Historical Preservation Commission hosts this event.
